Computational Fluid Dynamics Design Engineer
M/E Engineering is currently interviewing for a Computational Fluid Dynamics

Responsibilities
Develop expertise in the disciplines of:
- Airflow inside the built environment such as buildings, clean rooms, labs and manufacturing facilities
- Wind dispersion analysis
- Fire and smoke evaluations
- Other situations in or around buildings where health, life, safety or product quality may be compromised due to air flow
Other Responsibilities:
- Performs assignments designed to develop skills of both a CFD Project Engineer and a Mechanical Design Engineer.
- Works with CFD Group Manager, CFD Project Engineer, Partner, Associates or Principals.
- Independently perform assignments after receiving information on the scope and type of project.
- Work toward an expert skill in CFD modeling, especially as it relates to the built environment and other types of projects common to M/E Engineering. This includes one-on-one training, webinars, and in-classroom learning.
- Develop the necessary skills to quickly and competently build 3D CAD models on various software packages.
- Create 3D CAD models for export to CFD software from Revit files or plan drawings (Revit, AutoCAD, Fusion 360 and other 3D CAD).
- Independently set up CFD problems (currently using STAR-CCM+).
- Analyze solutions and verify results.
- Create reports from CFD models.
- Programming skills highly desired for understanding and development of macros and user defined functions (java or equivalent).
- Basic Linux experience (desired but not necessary).
- Read and interpret research papers/publications to help identify fundamental chemistry and physical problems to be solved.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with both our clients and within M/E Engineering, P.C.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics or other Engineering disciplines that may be applicable to computer modeling and CFD.
- CFD Experience through University or elsewhere preferred
