Intern - Professional Services (Prisma Cloud)

Job Description


As a Professional Services Consultant, you’ll get into the details of our platform. You will push the buttons, flip the levers, turn the knobs. You do not shy away from difficult challenges as it relates to cybersecurity, implementations, and integrations. You are the technical authority and will interact directly with our customers to help them secure their digital environments. The customers are counting on you to perform this work and train their staff. And while experience on the company’s platform is desired, even more important is having a solid foundation in cloud and security technologies. 

In fact, extensive experience with a competitor’s technology can play to your advantage. Many of the opportunities involve a client migrating to our platform for the first time, so understanding the nuances of that technology will enable you to be a better Palo Alto Networks consultant. And don't worry, we will send you to our Professional Services onboarding program to prepare you for the role, so you are experienced with our suite of services and products before you first meet the customer. 

Your Impact

  • Assist team and customers with securing their cloud environment with Palo Alto Network’s Prisma Cloud tool and incorporate security best practices
  • Learn & understand the customer’s business and compliance requirements that is most applicable to their organization’s cloud infrastructure
  • Work with peers on Prisma Cloud technical implementation/operations in a customer environment
  • Interact with Security and IT technologies relating to customer’s cloud environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in challenging situations
  • Ability to create documentation for Prisma Cloud and cloud security best practices
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Other tasks and duties as needed to support the customer and/or business relating to Prisma Cloud

Qualifications


  • Experience with general Cloud Security, Cloud Computing, and Cloud Environments
  • Experience in Python and Javascript
  • Experience working both in a team and individual setting
  • Understanding of Linux or Unix, network troubleshooting analysis and current security threats
  • Experience in cybersecurity tools
  • Understanding of cybersecurity technologies, protocols and applications
  • Security experience (Networking, Cloud, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Cloud Certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) and Cybersecurity Certifications are a bonus
  • To apply, you must be pursuing a 4-year Undergraduate Degree related to Information Technology, Cyber Security, or Computer Science with a GPA of 3.0 or above, and returning to school in the fall
  • You must have the authorization to work within the United States. Please note that we will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position
