Senior Programmer Analyst (JAVA)
The Clark County Information Technology Department is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Senior Programmer Analyst (JAVA) position. This position requires Java experience. This position provides project and program leadership to professional and technical staff; performs applications systems design, modification, and programming of a routine to complex nature in support of County administrative and business services for multiple computer platform applications. This position requires a strong proficiency in Java J2EE applications, Eclipse, Jenkins, CruisControl, Apache Software Foundation Tomcat, Apache Software Foundation HTTP, Apache Software Foundation Chemistry, Apache Software Foundation Ant and Oracle.
These are union hourly positions that offer 4-day 40 hours work week with a 3-day weekend off. These positions pay overtime if that occurs. These positions come with a PERS pension that is funded by Clark County and that is vested after 5 years of employment. There are 10 paid holidays and additional floating day off for a person’s birthday, paid vacation benefit and paid sick leave benefit. The positions have excellent health insurance, vision plan and dental plan. Telecommuting program is often offered to these positions after they completed a probation period. Employees don’t pay the Social Security tax and there is no Nevada state income tax.
