Product & Test Engineering Intern

Summary

 
Product and Test Engineering is part of Skyworks’ Technology and Manufacturing Group, which has responsibility for advanced technology development, central engineering, quality, manufacturing operations, sourcing, and supply chain.
The Student Intern will be working as a core team member of the Product/Test Engineering Tools team.  This team is a part of the Product and Test Engineering organization, and supports and administers data analysis tools and processes used within the organization and other groups for yield management, problem resolution, and to bring Skyworks products into high volume manufacturing.  You will be working closely with team members, and may work with engineers across multiple functional teams as needed.


Responsibilities

 
  • Using Skyworks’ commercial and internally-developed tools to perform statistical data analyses in support of yield improvement, problem resolution, and other activities
  • Providing training and support to product engineers, test engineers, and other engineers who use the tools supported by the group
  • Creating and updating documentation on tools and processes
  • Developing or enhancing custom tools used within the group or within Skyworks Solutions
  • Monitoring and administering various commercial and internally-developed software tools
 
Please note that this internship is full time for summer, and is an on-site position in Skyworks Solutions’ Irvine office.

Qualifications & Educational Requirements

 
  • Available for Summer 2022
  • The student should be within two years of graduating and be working on a Bachelors Degree in Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar degree
  • Candidate should have strong data analysis skills, good software skills, and electronics knowledge


Preferred Skills

 
Additional skills that would benefit the candidate include applied statistics, experience with engineering data analysis systems, programming skills, or semiconductor manufacturing knowledge.
