Outreach and Communications position (REMOTE)

This is a Fall remote internship:

Catalyst Music and Healing Arts is a music and wellness non-profit spreading our wings. We facilitate Musician's Retreats in the Hudson Valley, NY. We are looking for two out-going, well-spoken, and well-written students currently enrolled who are comfortable speaking and writing for this unique and extremely worthwhile Summer remote position.

My name is Cari, and we are creating grass-roots support to build up our local and global community. In doing so, we are connecting with our local networks to discuss our one-of-a-kind vision. From there, we will continue to contact suggested people and organizations that we can build mutually beneficial relationships with.

*As a bonus, our founder just finished an in-depth business course where he received in-depth training on how to connect and get RESULTS in social media marketing, messaging, sales, and strategy. He's excited to share all he's learned so you can implement these skills in your time with us, and in your own life and music endeavors.

Building relationships over time is one of the most important aspects to nurture in any organization (let alone for your own life!) - and especially a start-up such as ours with such a far-reaching and powerful vision.

Although this is an unpaid Fall position, we offer college credit to go towards your curriculum requirements.

You will:

1) Have initial training with our founder and other team members to get acquainted with our Vision, Mission, and our Why.
2) Build invaluable communication skills through speaking and emailing regularly with a diverse population of local and global community; musicians, and otherwise
3) Keep a running log of those you speak with and their recommendations
4) Schedule and make approx 20-30 calls/week
5) Initiate and follow up with all emails (amount will vary)
6) Be responsible for weekly summaries and goals
7) Receive regular training, feedback, and support to refine your communication and follow-up skills.
8) Work regularly with our team, developing relationships that will promote your growth to become efficient in your communication, time-management, scheduling, and teamwork skills.
9) Have fun!
