Business Development Spring Intern

This position will provide support to the Department of Business Development of the Québec Government Office in its mission to promote the interests of Québec in the Western United States. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable and passionate about business development and will gather information and do research on opportunity mapping for business partnerships between Québec and the Western United States. The intern will also assist in drafting reports in preparation for missions of Québec companies in the territory.

Job Duties
Under the supervision of the Delegate General and the Director of Business Development, the intern will be:

  • Responsible for mapping partnership opportunities using specific databases and helping Québec companies to establish business relations
  • Responsible for drafting detailed business intelligence reports for Québec companies
  • Assisting in the organization of in-person and virtual trade missions.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher degree in Economics, Business Development, International Studies, International Relations, Law or a field related to the internship mandate
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Strong interest in American economy and a good understanding of Silicon Valley’s ecosystem
  • Interest in bilateral relations, diplomacy, international relations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to maintain high level of confidentiality, integrity, and discretion
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Preferred:
Fluency in French, both written and spoken.
