Grant Writer Internship

Latina Republic is a 501(C)3 California-based nonprofit organization dedicated to reporting, research, and advocacy. We foster intercultural dialogue and advance human rights in the Americas. Latina Republic fills the void in coverage of urgent social, political, human rights, economic, educational and gender inequalities affecting the Americas. Through our allies in Latin America, we report on stories that integrate local strategies to the betterment of the region. Latina Republic makes space for and empowers unheard voices.

Latina Republic has a dual mission, internationally, we partner with NGOs, leaders, journalists, and local communities in Latin America through our Central American Alliance and Voces Programs. Domestically, we empower the immigrant community through bilingual immigrant integration resources and academic and language enrichment programming through our ¡Adelante! Virtual Tutoring program and ¡Adelante Mamas! which brings the gift of literacy and civics to migrant mothers in Monterey County, California.

We are looking for a grant writer to help us identify grant opportunities to support our charitable programming. In this rewarding role you will identify and write grants to help us expand our ability to create meaningful change. Ideal candidates have strong writing and research skills, may have experience with budgeting and care deeply about the promotion of human rights across Latin America and immigrant rights in the United States.

You will receive mentoring, guidance on all aspects of grant writing, samples and work with a paid grant subscription that is very helpful resource to get you started. As you conclude your internship you will develop strong research and grant writing skills and the great feeling of having done your part to advance strategies for the betterment of the region.
