Valencia College is seeking a Laboratory Assistant II – Chemistry for our Lake Nona Campus to join our dedicated team. Join an organization committed to helping our students reach their full potential by providing them with the right opportunities, the right tools and the right support.
The Laboratory Assistant will prepare experiments and equipment for science labs according to respective discipline(s). The candidate will support the troubleshooting and maintenance of experiments and equipment. As well as, hold walk-in hours for one-to-one tutoring of students.
The ideal candidate will have:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) [required]
- Completion of college-level courses appropriated to the academic discipline where the position is located [required]
- In lieu of college-level courses, certification in the appropriate academic discipline may be substitutable [required]
Schedule: Tentative Days/Time: Monday (8:00 to 3:00 pm); Tuesday (9:00 to 2:00 pm); Thursday (9:00 to 5:00 pm).
