Nutrition Coordinator

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position serves as a Nutrition Coordinator for an Early Head Start program and a Head Start Program serving children ages 6 weeks to 5 years and their families. The Nutrition Coordinator plans and collaborates with other service area coordinators and staff while complying with Head Start Performance Standards, Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF) Child Care Licensing, and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Guidelines to ensure the health and well-being of children served in the program.

Required Qualifications:
    * Dietitian Licensure, required
    * Knowledge of young children’s nutrition requirements according to Head Start Performance Standards, Health Department, and CACFP preferred.
    * Knowledge and understanding of the health and wellness of early childhood education trends children and families.
    * Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
    * Current driver’s license 
    * Pass physical examination, background check, and fingerprint screen.
    * Able to lift a child weighing 40 pounds, 20 times a day if needed.  
    * Basic computer literacy in email, word processing, and internet navigation. 
    * Maintain certification in CPR and First Aid.
