Industrial Engineer, CI Technician

Job Purpose:
The IE/CI technician supports supply performance tracking and improvement. He/she ensures performance measuring, reporting, and challenging to make gaps to business objectives visible and drive plans to reduce losses. The technician supports site-driven and market-driven projects by identifying and clarifying business cases and following up on deliverables. The FI technician builds up the knowledge and deploys the tools of MSE and the mindset of zero losses.
 
What we are looking for:
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Industrial Engineering or similar OR HS diploma and 5 -10 years of manufacturing experience in production, engineering, or finance
• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking/challenging mindset
 
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced Degree in engineering or Industrial Engineering or similar
• 2-3 or more years of manufacturing experience in production, engineering, or finance
• Demonstrated experience in implementing Plant Optimization and Lean/TPM principles in a manufacturing environment

Key Responsibilities:
Business Performance & Improvement
• Conduct capability and capacity analysis
• Evaluate and communicate performance against KPI targets in line with the Compelling Business Need (CBN)
• Lead performance improvement and COGS initiatives
• Support MSE Pillars and activities (FMOS, AM, FI, PM, Safety, and Quality)
• Collaborate with team leaders and operators by facilitating problem-solving and loss analysis on chronic problems.
Perspective & Knowledge Management
• Maintain performance trend & loss analysis and capacity database
• Maintain and improve performance data reporting (capacity + line performance)
• Ensure understanding of KPI performance and drivers by those impacted and contributing associates
• Provide insightful and objective analysis of losses
Supply Chain Strategy, Planning, and Investment
• Input relevant data into Capacity File
• Conduct DOC reviews and support Planning with SCMR inputs
• Provide relevant input into Capital Projects and maintain Capital Project File
• Support site and segment development activities
