Test Engineer

As a test engineer, you will play a primary role in the testing and support of hardware and software used onboard Navy submarines and aircraft carriers. Some of your assigned tasks will include:
- Creating and executing detailed test plans for new and updated hardware and software
- Identifying and documenting defects encountered while testing
- Troubleshooting defects to determine root cause
- Publishing test reports and assisting in the update of technical manuals
- Automating current and new test plans

Required Skills *
Based on your previous experience, you will be hired at one of the following:
Intermediate Test Engineer:
BS degree in engineering or Bachelor's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience; or
MS degree in engineering or Master's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one (1) year relevant experience.
Advanced Test Engineer:
BS degree in engineering or Bachelor's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two (4) years relevant experience; or
MS degree in engineering or Master's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one (2) year relevant experience.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in developing automated tests.
- Expertise in writing thorough test plans and concise test reports.
- Expertise in software engineering practices and software lifecycle models.
- Experience with Dev/Ops environments and Continuous Integration strategies.
