Career Development Coach
Career Development job coaches work with clients of local nonprofits to help them improve their current employment situation. We provide our members with a professional job skill-centered curriculum and training. Members will have opportunities to plan special events for their clients & community. They coordinate with the Career Development Program Manager to connect with local employers. Job coaches meet regularly to share best practices with members.
This position is a good fit for individuals wanting to learn about event planning and community outreach in addition to teaching. Some job coach placements require language proficiency in French and/or Spanish.
Our term of service lasts for 8 months as a full-time position. You will receive free health benefits and many professional development sessions. The trainings we offer will help you develop teaching skills and other important skills - such as networking and resume writing. Finally, once you complete your term of service you will receive an education award of $4,441. The education award can be used to pay off student loans or to pay for future schooling.
