Senior Accountant

Job Description

Position will work closely with the Director of FP&A along with other operating and parent company personnel. Position will be responsible for accounting, financial reporting, and the design and maintenance of financial and operational systems and controls. Other duties include:

  • Preparation and posting of month-end journal entries and schedules for monthly financial reporting package for foreign parent.
  • Preparation of year-end financial statements for parent company annual audit.
  • Provide support to parent company for audit questions and documentation request.
  • Work with Tax department in preparation of Federal and State income tax, and excise tax filing.
  • Coordinate with operations in recording and costing of inventory transactions.
  • Preparation of general ledger and back account reconciliations.
  • Assist management with account research and special projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Must have a BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA preferred.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of public accounting and/or Industry experience.
  • Must have strong PC skills; Excel and Word.
  • Prefer knowledge and experience with integrated manufacturing software systems.
  • Must have strong communication skills with the ability to deal with personnel throughout the organization.
