Our Operations and Technology for the Americas (Ops & Tech) group plays a major role in MUFG’s transformation to become the world’s most trusted financial group. Its nearly 4,000 colleagues specialize in process engineering, software development, enterprise information management, technology operations, operational risk management, and project management. Their goal is to deliver superior solutions to MUFG’s clients at the quality they define and to be, above all, trusted stewards of the bank's computing assets and processes.
 
Our Technology teams design and deliver software products and services that support the work of our internal partners and meet the needs of our customers. MUFG’s technology colleagues translate business and client needs into actionable technology strategy, and incubate new technologies for the bank that enhance our client services and drive business growth. 
 
Our Operations teams design and deliver high-quality, practical solutions to address pressing industry and business challenges. They offer best-in-class support to internal and external clients through expertise in process design and improvement, project management, and large-scale business transformation.

Valuable Work Experience: Our 10-week summer program provides rising seniors and first year graduate student with hands-on experience and on-the-job learning within a high-paced banking environment. Summer Analysts work on meaningful projects and team assignments which enable them to build skills and technical expertise.
 
Networking Opportunities: MUFG’s Summer Analysts come from a wide variety of schools and backgrounds, and are encouraged to collaborate with colleagues and senior leaders firm-wide. In our open and inclusive environment, Summer Analysts have the opportunity to meet and get to know our senior management as they broaden their understanding of the bank and its Operations and Technology functions.
 
Engaging Summer Program: In addition to meaningful team project work, Summer Analysts participate in various summer program activities that offer professional development and business exposure. Our program also offers guided mentorship throughout the summer through assigned program mentor.
 
Qualifications:
 
•You are a 2022 rising senior or first year graduate student, graduating Winter 2022 or Spring 2023 with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• A major in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or Information Assurance majors are preferred (other analytic disciplines may be considered)
•Strong computer skills and are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Jira, Confluence and Agile Methodologies is a plus
•Strong analytical and research skills, as well as organizational skills
•Ability to work equally well on self-managed or team projects, in a quickly evolving environment
•Exposure to process design/improvement, project management, and/or change management disciplines and experience driving/supporting change initiatives (preferred for operations)
•Strong verbal and written communications skills
•Some hands-on experience or a foundational knowledge of one or more of the following: HTML, Java, Python, .Net, C/C#, PC101, SQL, JIRA, databases, data structures, algorithms, virtualization, cloud computing, networking, storage, mobile computing, database experience, operating systems (Windows and LINUX) and the like (preferred)
•You are able to furnish proof of citizenship, permanent residency or work in the U.S.
