The SDL family is seeking a software engineer to become part of a world leading team that develops frameworks to support high-speed image processing and image products. The selected candidate will support Missile Defense Agency (MDA) programs and will have demonstrated software engineering expertise and sound knowledge of the application of software systems engineering principles. On select MDA programs to include the Technical Direction Agent (TDA) for the Ground Based Midcourse Defense Program (MDA/GM), the candidate will work alongside the government and contractor teams and will support software, algorithm, and simulation (SAS) efforts. Additionally, the candidate may support other missile defense software, modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts.
 
Required Qualifications:
· BS in electrical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering
· Minimum 6 years of relevant software/firmware development experience 
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) in an engineering domain
· Travel to various contractor, vendor and Government facilities will be required
· Current or past experience using C++ for software development
· DevSecOps and Digital Engineering experience
· Working knowledge of Missile Defense Programs, specifically Ground Based Midcourse Defense
· Must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
 
Let us know in your application materials if you possess the following:
· MS in electrical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering, plus 10 years of experience
· Recent experience in Ballistic Missile Defense System programs or technologies
· Experience with DoD software engineering, modeling and simulation policies and best practices
· An active DoD Top Secret-SCI clearance
