Here is your opportunity to support our Well Construction team! The Well Construction Technician will be responsible for the review and issuance of Well Construction Permits, updating and renewing water well contractor licenses, and issuing new water well contractor licenses. This position will also be responsible for providing top-tier customer service, responding to public records requests, and researching any questions concerning well permit information. You’ll have the chance to work with a wide range of teams in this promising position, each of which plays a vital role in our efforts to preserve our most valuable natural resources. Using your expertise, you’ll play an important role in enhancing the results to ensure a brighter future for the environment of Florida.

Compensation:
Well Construction Technician 3: $14.27
Well Construction Technician 4: $16.19
Well Construction Technician 5: $18.36
Essential Functions
- Review and issue well construction permits
- Conduct Water Well Contractor license renewals and issue new licenses
- Provide top-tier customer service to stakeholders regarding well information
- Research and locate well information requested through public records requests
Required Credentials for Well Construction Technician Opportunities
Well Construction Technician 3
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Two (2) years related work experience
- Valid driver’s license
Well Construction Technician 4
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Three (3) years related work experience
- Valid driver’s license
Well Construction Technician 5
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Four (4) years related work experience
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Credentials for Well Construction Technician Opportunities
- Experience in review of permit applications in the District’s ePermitting system (Water Management Information System - WMIS)
