EMMC is offering a PAID Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) apprenticeship program!
This excellent program is hosted at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center and runs from August 30th, 2021 to October 18, 2021. This 40 hour per week PAID position, at $15.00 per hour consists of 16-24 hours of class and clinical experience, with the remaining hours spent as a Patient Experience Aide on one of our many units. If you are accepted in the program, you will be a full-time employee while earning your CNA license. If you are a current employee, you may remain in your position with your current rate of pay during the program.
There are many benefits to this program. In addition to working towards becoming a licensed State of Maine Certified Nursing Assistant, you are eligible for all the AMAZING benefits we offer including Medical, Dental, and Vision.
Upon successful completion of the program, you will be placed in a full time CNA position at Eastern Maine Medical Center for three years, with the eligibility to receive a $3,500 sign on bonus and a pay increase to $16.00 per hour!
***Internal candidates would have to be considered as a promotional advancement from prior position to be eligible for sign on bonus***
All applicants must meet the following criteria:
·18 years of age or older
·High school graduate or equivalent
·Participate in a pre-admission interview
·Pass pre-employment background check
·Willing to work a 4-day work week while in training
·Commit to Eastern Maine Medical Center for three years post training
Once licensed - opportunities within the following departments:
General Surgical/Short Stay (Merritt 3/Haskell 3)
Cardiac Telemetry (Pavilion 6 & Grant 4)
Respiratory/Oncology (Grant 6)
Neuro/Ortho (Grant 5)
Acute Rehab
