Part Time Driver for the Four Directions Family Center

Do you want to make a difference in the community by providing a valuable service, building relationships with youth, and helping them get to and from school safely? The Family Partnership is seeking a Part-Time Driver to drive youth ages 16 months to 11 years of age for the Four Directions Family Center in South Minneapolis. This is a split shift position working 6:45 - 9:30am and returning from 2:45 - 5:45pm to bring the children home.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
·      Responsible for following and enforcing all the Agency's van rules and regulations.
·      Drive safely and obey all traffic laws, including following the standards operating procedures set by TFP
·      Safely drive program participants to various metro-area locations.
·      Ensure program participants are securely fastened in their seats and provide assistance as needed to passengers while transporting them in the agency vehicle. 
·      Responsible for reporting all necessary vehicle upkeep and maintenance needs, and bringing the vehicle into the shop when authorized for repairs.
·      Maintain daily communication with Supervisor and/or other designated staff regarding scheduling problems, client problems, unusual occurrences, and vehicle maintenance.
·      Maintain accurate vehicle and transportation records.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: 3 years of driving experience as a licensed driver and previous experience in driving children and/or adults.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
·      Ability to work a flexible day-time schedule as needed.
·      Ability to communicate and manage time effectively, and work independently with limited supervision.
·      The ability to drive the vehicle safely.
·      Ability to maintain agency, participant and staff confidentiality.
·      Licenses and/or Certifications: Valid MN Drivers’ License, clean driving record, ability to maintain a clean driving record and meet the agency's driving requirements.
