Resource Technologist I - Flow Cytometry

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory has an immediate opening for an experienced Resource Technologist to work in the Flow Cytometry Shared Resource. The Flow Cytometry Shared Resource is part of the NCI-designated CSHL Cancer Center, and supports basic research in cancer, neurobiology and stem cell biology.
Individuals with experience operating both BD FACSAria cell sorters and BD Fortessa cell analyzers are preferred. The qualified individual will be under the direct supervision of the Facility Manager and will be responsible for operating and maintaining the flow cytometry equipment, as well as assisting and training scientists in the use of the equipment, experimental design and data analysis. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of people are also important.
Position RequirementsCandidates should have a BS or MS in cell biology or a related area, hands-on laboratory experience and computer skills. Experience with flow cytometry is required and candidates should be highly motivated independent workers.
