Pre-licensed therapist, Reno
For over 25 years, Maple Star (a division of Pathways) has provided foster care and specialized behavioral health services for children and adults in the Reno and Sparks areas. We are an Internship site with the Nevada Marriage and Family Therapist Board, the Nevada Clinical Professional Counselor Board, and the Nevada Board of Social Work.
For your passion and dedication as a Pre-licensed Therapist, we offer paid training, career advancement opportunities, and the ability to work this position as a part time or full time role. You will start as a part-time Pre-licensed therapist, provided training and a small caseload. If you are interested in full time, we will accommodate this. About your role:
As a Pre-Licensed Therapist, you will ensure mental health treatment services are provided to maximize client independence and family empowerment. Through individual, family, and group counseling services, you will assist individuals in overcoming mental health barriers and achieving more effective personal, social, educational, and vocational development and adjustment. The pay rate for this position is $30/hour. During the pandemic, this position meets with clients through Tele-health, in our offices, and in the community, following all CDC safety precautions. We care for our client and employees' medical and mental health safety and make this a priority.
What we’re looking for:
- Must be pre-licensed in Nevada as MFT Intern, CPC, or CSW-I, or possess an Intern license in those areas.
- A valid Nevada driver’s license and access to personal automobile with required insurance coverage is required
- Must be able to complete a criminal justice and a child abuse registry check as required by state rules
- Must work independently. Demonstrate the ability to prioritize, sort and organize; perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Demonstrate strong written, verbal and analytical skills
