Graphic Designer

Benchmark International is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to join the Marketing team and assist with strategic marketing initiatives for our growing company. This position will report to the Director of Digital located at the Tampa office headquarters. The candidate’s skill level must be proven in both print and digital media. Benchmark International is looking for someone who can take direction from written and spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into images, layouts, and other designs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional design solutions that engage target audiences.
  • Create various forms of visual advertisements which includes print, in-store displays, digital and online advertising.
  • Manage time to meet project deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Create and maintain files for all creative assets and resources.
  • Develop and design standard corporate advertising materials for internal groups and external agencies, for trade and business magazine advertisements, market periodicals, product catalogs, and web design.
  • Prioritize tasks and projects according to business needs and turn-around time.
  • Develop concepts for marketing materials including forms, brochures, flyers, direct mail, print ads, presentations, billboards, and other items as needed.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, clearly communicates creative ideas, and collaborates with internal teams.
  • Applies basic concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform routine tasks.
  • Design and layout unique marketing materials that represent Benchmark International’s brand in a positive way.
  • Ensure all designs comply with Benchmark International’s branding standards.
  • Design engaging graphics for various social media platforms.
  • Conceive and develop information graphics (e.g., charts, diagrams, photo composites, icons, and visualized data) for print, exhibit, or screen.
  • Edit original and stock photos for use in marketing material.
  • Develop graphics, illustrations, and visual images for interactions related to the digital and inbound marketing experience.
  • Produce flowcharts, wireframes, templates, and infographics.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage workflow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Specific qualifications for our Graphic Designer position include:

  • Demonstrated portfolio of graphic design work
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically: InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Ability to design in various styles, and manipulate and retouch photographs
  • Ability to define functionality, and produce flowcharts, wireframes and PowerPoint/Word templates
  • Have a refined modern design sensibility with passion and enthusiasm for design and creative flair
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and direction in a progressive work environment.
  • Demonstrate a high-level of creativity using graphics (such as photos, graphs, charts, etc.) to improve communication.
  • Demonstrate exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and love challenges
  • Strong experience with image editing and compression, file correction, and optimization techniques
  • Understanding of typography and design composition
  • Cooperative and detailed oriented
  • Must be highly organized, including clear external and internal file management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic coding skills (HTML/CSS)
  • Experience publishing in web site platforms like Wordpress
  • Knowledge and understanding of other software in Adobe’s Creative Cloud: After Effects, Premier, Dreamweaver, etc
  • Video and GIF animation experience

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art Design, Graphic Design, Marketing or related discipline

Salary

$35,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year
