Assistant Multimedia Content Creator (Design)

The Assistant Multimedia Content Creator (Design) will support the Multimedia and User Experience team in designing and producing visual content across print, digital, social media, and web platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in graphic design, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), and experience creating content for social media. Familiarity with web UI/UX principles is a plus. A portfolio demonstrating relevant design work is preferred. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Design flyers, handouts, and digital signage for campus displays and events
  • Develop graphics, visual assets, and scheduled content for social media platforms
  • Assist with web UI/UX tasks including layout, visual design, and content presentation
  • Collaborate with the Multimedia Application Developer on design production tasks and project deliverables
  • Conduct web content audits and ensure materials meet ADA/WCAG accessibility standards
  • Create and maintain internal and external procedures documentation
  • Support photography needs as required for design projects
  • Track and manage assigned work using the team's project management application

Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in 6 or more credits at UNLV and have a cumulative GPA of 2.0
  • Must have a valid driver's license for on-campus cart operation
  • Must be able to work in shifts of at least 4 hours
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
  • Ability to maintain an organized and professional work environment
  • Adherence to security policies and confidentiality standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Experience creating graphics and content for social media platforms
  • Familiarity with web UI/UX design principles
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG)
  • Experience with Google Workspace applications
  • Basic photography skills
